Less than a kilometer from the Garden, there are the shores of Lake Varano, and thanks to the new stilt houses built specifically for birdwatching, you can observe all the fauna present in the lagoon.
Lake Varano is the wintering place for many species of aquatic birds, in particular coots and ducks, but you can also observe mallards, cormorants, red-headed capybarks, little egrets, valdas, spoonbills, moorhens, marsh harriers, herons, black-winged stilts, slender-billed gulls and kingfishers.
